Fund Raising

Dursley Lions Club raises in excess of ?40,000 per year for charities and other worthy causes locally, nationally and internationally. We have supported local playgroups, counselling services, trusts and also funded schools in third world countries. Our main source of fund-raising is the weekly furniture sale which raises approx. ?25,000 per year. Our other big event is the Frocester Beer Festival, which raised ?18,000 for charity in 2004 and ?19,000 in 2005. We also hold an annual Christmas Dance at Lister's Club, with a supper, music, dancing, tombola and raffle, and this too raises several hundred pounds each year.
We would like to thank all those who have helped support our events, by donating, attending or volunteering their help. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated, without which, much of what we have achieved would be impossible.
